How the Night Works
1. Arrive 30 minutes early. Have waivers done for everyone in your group before you get here.
2. Check in. Everyone is discreetly weighed and gets a name tag. Use the restrooms and empty your pockets. Phones, keys and wallets stay in your car or in the bins behind the desk.
3. Gear up. Your guides call your group to the back deck to gear up and watch a short instructional video.
4. Into the trees. Two guides lead you across all 8 lines in the dark, about 1.5 to 2 hours from start to finish.

Night on the Mountain
After the sun goes down, the 8-line course feels like a completely different adventure. Our guides lead small groups through the forest at night. Join the list to hear first when night dates open.

What to Know before You Arrive
Is Twilight Zip the full tour?
Yes. Twilight Zip is our full 8-line mountaintop zipline tour, guided at night. There is no half tour at night.
How is it different from a day tour?
Same course and the same friendly guides. The forest is dark around you, groups are smaller, and on a clear night you’ll catch the stars between lines.
What are the night requirements?
Twilight Zip guests must be 12 or older, at least 54″ tall and weigh 70 to 225 lbs. Everyone is discreetly weighed at check-in. Guests who do not meet these requirements may not be able to participate, and refunds cannot be issued.
What should I wear?
Mountain weather is unpredictable and nights get cold, so layers are a necessity. Closed-toe, closed-heel shoes are required. No sandals, flip-flops, or Crocs. Avoid tank tops, since the harness straps aren’t made for bare skin. If there’s a chance of rain, bring a jacket.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive 30 minutes before your tour time, with waivers completed for everyone in your group.
Do you zip in the rain?
Yes! We zip rain, shine, or even snow. We only stop for lightning, high winds, or unsafe visibility, using our in-house lightning detection system and NOAA weather data to make the call. Because tours run rain or shine, refunds are only issued if the park cancels for weather or safety.
Can I bring my phone or camera?
Personal phones and cameras aren’t allowed on the course. Your hands need to be free for your gear, and anything dropped from the canopy becomes a permanent part of the forest floor.
Can I bring items in my pockets?
Empty pockets are required. If you have medication that needs to stay with you, we provide personal clip-on bags, and your guides will assist you.
Is it physically challenging?
It’s an active tour. You’ll need to walk up uneven hills and stairs, reach overhead, keep your balance and brake yourself on each line, which takes full shoulder mobility. Guests continue onto the second half of the course only after showing they can brake and follow the guides’ directions.
What if I have health concerns?
Pregnant guests can’t participate. Please tell your guides about any recent surgeries or injuries before your tour. The tour takes place in a natural forest setting with a hilly trail, uneven terrain and three sets of stairs, so please contact us to explore reasonable accommodations when they do not increase the inherent risks of the activity.
Are there bathrooms during the tour?
No. Once you’re in your harness, the tour runs from the first platform to the last landing, so use the restrooms before gear-up.
What is your cancellation policy?
Guests may cancel or reschedule with no penalty up to 72 hours before their tour time. Cancellations made within 72 hours are not eligible for a refund unless Trip Protection was purchased. Guests who purchase Trip Protection may cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before their tour for a full refund, minus the Trip Protection fee.
Can I tip my guides?
Yes! Gratuities are optional, but they’re always appreciated and make up an important part of our guides’ income. Many guests tip 15–20%.
Can we book a private night tour?
Yes. Call our office at 828.526.8773 and we’ll help you plan a private Twilight Zip for your group.
